GlassCue

Read it. The camera can't.

Excluded from Screen Capture by macOS

On your screen. Not in the recording.

GlassCue sets one AppKit flag — sharingType = .none — and macOS stops handing the window to screen capture. Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS, QuickTime: they record your screen and it simply isn't there. Not an overlay hack. The window server just leaves it out.

Everything you need to read on camera

Built for creators, presenters, and screenwriters who want a clean, focused teleprompter that stays out of the recording.

🕶️

Excluded from Screen Capture

macOS itself leaves the GlassCue window out of what it hands to screen recorders and screen sharing — Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS, QuickTime. It's a window-server exclusion, not an overlay trick. And it's a toggle: turn it off when you want the prompter captured.

📄

Opens What You Already Wrote

Plain text, Markdown, PDF, RTF, Word, and — for screenwriters — Fountain and Final Draft. Eight formats, no conversion step.

Section Navigation

Your # headings become sections. Jump between them with Tab and Shift+Tab, or a presenter remote. Never lose your place mid-recording.

🪞

Mirror Mode

Flip the text horizontally for beam-splitter teleprompter rigs — read straight down the lens. Toggle with ⌘⇧M.

🎛️

Presenter Remote Support

Bluetooth presenter remotes work out of the box. Page Up and Page Down move between sections, and the blank key plays and pauses.

Focus Line & Reading Position

A cobalt cue line anchors your eye, and you can move it up or down the window to match your camera. Toggle it with ⌘L.

📊

Playback HUD

A floating glass panel shows your live words-per-minute, progress, and time remaining — without cluttering the teleprompter view.

Tune It Mid-Take

Scroll speed, font size, and background opacity all adjust without stopping playback. Ten background presets, nine text colors, and eight focus-line colors.

🪟

Floats Over Everything

Stays on top and follows you across Spaces — so it hovers over a full-screen Zoom call instead of disappearing behind it.
